A one-piece slate bed is suitable for quality-focused 8ft home pool tables specifically engineered around a full-size slate. Its seamless construction eliminates center joints and the related work of aligning, filling and level-matching multiple slate sections during assembly.
Before selecting an 8ft one-piece slate, the manufacturer or installer should confirm that the table frame provides firm, even support across the entire slate bed. Delivery access and handling requirements must also be considered because a full-size one-piece slate is larger and more difficult to move than separate slate sections.
Commercial and Coin-Operated Pool Tables
Selected 8ft commercial, coin-operated and entertainment-venue pool tables may use a one-piece natural slate bed. This construction can simplify table assembly by removing the need to join and level multiple slate sections.
